Damping forced oscillations in power system via interline power flow controller with additional repetitive control

Abstract With the continuous expansion of power systems and application electronic equipment, forced oscillation has become one key problems in terms system safety stability. In this paper, an interline flow controller (IPFC) is used as a suppression carrier its mechanism analyzed using linearized state-space method to improve damping ratio. It shown that although IPFC can suppress with well-designed parameters, capability improving ratio limited. Thus, combined repetitive control method, additional (ARC) proposed further dampen oscillation. The ARC scheme characterized by outstanding tracking performance steady reference value, main provide higher damping, reduce amplitude oscillations zero compared supplementary (SDC). Simulation results show not only greatly amplitude, but also actively output compensation according value system.
